The joy of the Lord is my strenght

I'm kind of speechless that people sacrifice their vacation and spent a lot of money to help us here at the church through building bathrooms for the skatepark...
I mean... when I went to different mission trips I also loved to serve but to see them as they come and to see their hearts it reminded me again of the blessing God has for us in the body of Christ.

Last week a team of 16 men came from the St. Petersburg, Florida to serve the Lord here in Siegen. They are here until Saturday and for me serving them meals and cleaning is a joy!!

I mean you always think about other countries than Germany when you think about Missions but they came here - to Siegen... And just to see their work and there joy in the Lord is incredible :)

On Sunday they were gone for the day and I truly can say that I missed them!!!

My prayer goes to the families because I think they also sacrifice a lot...
Almost 2 weeks without their husbands and Daddys...
I imagine that the enemy likes to attack there as usual - to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...

May God bless and keep them!!!


I'm so blessed that I have brothers and sisters around the world :) and that one day I can get to know them all... "There will be a day"...

Praise God for the sunshine...

Yesterday and the day before I could sit in the sun and reflected on how much God blessed me the last few month!


Sometimes I think we need to go through hard times so that we enjoy the blessings that God gives us even more..


To live here at Hands of Hope is such a blessing!

I just love my apartment and the people I live with here in this building!
Praise God!
I would have never ever thought that I would one time have my own apartment.

I also love my job! Working for and in the childrens ministry is such a blessing and the work here at Hands of Hope is also GREAT!

GOD IS SO GOOD TO US!
...I know.. its easy to write that when you have a good time... But don't think that everything in my life is perfect... but since I live here I learn to thank God!

Claudia (Achims wife - Achim is the leader of Hands of Hope) told me in the beginning "Kerstin we don't want to allow satan to steal our joy" and I thought that's so true!!!
The joy of the Lord is our strenght and if we don't have joy and if we are not thankful we won't have strength!!!

So now I'm training myself to be thankful!! :)
