Yesterday we finally registered Shevet Achim Deutschland e.v.
Information to Shevet Achim....
Shevet Achim (Jerusalem) was founded in 1994 with the purpose of helping non-Israeli children receive lifesaving medical care in Israel. Their name is taken from the Hebrew of Psalm 133, which promises that unity between brothers leads to life; they believe this to be true of the troubled relationship between Isaac and Ishmael (Jews and Muslims) in the Middle East. To live this out Shevet Achim seeks to "go and do likewise" as the Good Samaritan, who crossed lines of division to show that an enemy is in fact a neighbor also loved by God.
Shevet Achim works work from the historic building in Jerusalem which housed the first children's hospital in the Middle East, and is registered in both Israel and the US as a non-profit organization, overseen by a board which includes Chuck Kopp, pastor of the Narkis Street International Congregation in Jerusalem; Jonathan Miles, international coordinator of Shevet Achim; David Pileggi, rector of Christ Church in Jerusalem; and Jim Schutz, local congregations liaison with the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.
The duties of the german association of Shevet Achim are to advertice what Shevet Achim is doing and to inform people who have questions about it. If somebody donates something to Shevet Achim Deutschland we will make sure that the money goes where it's suppose to go...

When you go to the wepage of Shevet Achim (www.shevet.org) you see the kids that need donations in order to get an operation... when you see the before and after pictures its just amazing to see how fast they recover after their surgery...
